UK Live Poker Tournaments April
The UK live poker scene starts off with a choice of two festivals to attend at the start of April. First of all there is the Spring Challenge in South End and then across the south coast there is the Ladbrokes Easter Rendezvous in Brighton. Both events will hold half a dozen tournaments with various buy-ins and you can also win packages to the Irish Open and Las Vegas in some of the events in Brighton.
We then move across to Dublin, Ireland from the 9th - 13th April for the 2009 Paddy Power Irish Open. The three day main event will run from the 10th - 13th This prestigious event always attracts the well known poker pro’s from across the globe.
April ends with the fourth leg of the GUKPT series (Grosvenor UK Poker Tour) in Manchester, running from the 23rd - 26th The £1000 buy in main event always attracts a sizeable field and also offers the winner a seat to the GUKPT grand final.
European Live Poker Tournaments April
The European Live poker scene starts us off with the Pokervierdaagse Festival in Amsterdam, Holland. This four day festival has three events and one satellite to run, with each event having a maximum amount of seats available so early entry is recommended. Starting at the same time is the Austrian Easter Poker Festival which will be held at the Concord Card Casino in Salzburg, Austria. This festival will hold five events with various buy-ins to suit all players.
Moving over to Namur, Belgium for the Namur Poker Classic which will run 18 different tournaments over the space of eight days. Again there will various types of poker with varing buy-ins to appeal to all players. The main event here will be a no limit hold‘em event which will be a 2 day, €1,130 buy in tournament.
April will also see the conclusion to the 2009 EPT (European Poker Tour) series towards the end of the month. First of all there will be San Remo, Italy leg starting on the 18th April, running for 5 days. This event will be a €5,250 buy in event and the winner will receive a seat to the EPT grand final. The EPT grand final which will be held in Monte Carlo starts just five days after the San Remo leg has finished. This tournament is a €10,600 buy in event which will see the elite of poker pro’s attending from across the world.
