Phil Hellmuth made history by winning Event 15 at this years World series of Poker, the first person ever to win 11 WSOP career bracelet’s. The start of the tournament seated a total of 2,628 players all buying in for this $1,500 No Limit hold’em event. The prize pool swelled to $3,587,254 with $637,254 going to the winner.
Rick fuller was ahead in the chip rankings at the start of the final table on $1,779,000 in chips, closely followed by Hellmuth on $1,482,000. Taylor Douglas needed to get involved early on being short stacked on $259,000.

The blinds started out at $30,000-$15,000 forcing Taylor Douglas to make a stand early on. He made this decision going All In with
but found himself dominated by Scott Clements with

Only a few hand after Ut Nguyen unluckily lost out with

Clements hit a full house on the River with the board coming down
knocking Ut out in 8th taking home $48,427.
It was Phil Hellmuth who took the chip lead at this point taking down a three way pot eliminating Fabrice Soulier in 7th place. Soulier on the short stack pushed all in with

and Rick Fuller, the other player in this pot had pocket Sixes. Fuller hit a set of Sixes on the Flop but Hellmuth was ahead having the straight. Fuller didn’t improve and Soulier had no piece of the board giving Hellmuth the pot. Soulier winning $64,570 for his trouble.
We lost the next two players on consecutive hands shortly after. First David Simon went out in 6th place loosing to Rick Fuller. Simon’s pocket Tens were cracked by Fuller holding

Then Scott Clements
was dominated by Hellmuth with
Hellmuth hit a pair of Tens on the Flop and Clements never recovered. Clements took $112,997 for 5th place.
At the break Hellmuth was looking good to take his record breaking11th bracelet, having 4.4million in chips, over double of what Andy Philacheck and Rick fuller had on around the 1.5 million mark. Morgan Machina was the man under pressure on the short stack with $430,000.

brought out a big bet from Philacheck forcing both Hellmuth and Fuller to fold. The River
would have given Hellmuth a set if it wasn’t for the good bet put out by Phil check. Machina was eliminated in 4th place winning $161,425.

A King on the Flop gave both players a pair but Hellmuths Jack, out kicking Fuller’s Ten. Fuller wins $247,518 for 3rd place.

and was looking good to win the pot against Hellmuth with
Hellmuth hit a three on the Flop putting him in the lead needing to dodge the Ten on the last two cards. The

on the River confirmed Hellmuth’s place in WSOP history winning this event, his 11th WSOP career tournament win.
Hellmuth received his bracelet from the only other two 10 time WSOP bracelet winners Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson in the awards ceremony. He also collected the $637,254 for this win.
