On the very first hand of play Karlo Lopez went All In for his remaining $58,000 with :ah :qh and was called by Michael Craig in the small blind holding pocket Jacks. The Flop came down :qc :8h :7h almost a perfect Flop for Lopez hitting top pair and having a nut flush draw. The :jc on the Turn changed the situation putting Craig in the lead, leaving Lopez needing a heart to come down on the last card. The :10d confirmed his exit from the tournament in 9th place winning $12,252.

Reza Zand was the next player to leave the tournament on the 13th hand of play. Going All In pre Flop with :kh :jh against Kevin Marcotte with :as :5s Neither player had any piece of the board with it coming down :10c :8c :8h :2h :10d giving Marcotte the pot knocking Zend out in 8th place winning $16,899.

We had to wait a while before the next player headed for the rail which eventually came on the 46th hand of play. Michael Craig was on the short stack with only $83,000 in chips and moved them all into the middle pre flop with :as :8s Christoph Niesert called this bet in a dominating position holding :ac :qs The A-Q was good enough to take the pot with the final board showing :kh :5h :3c :js :6d eliminating Craig into 7th place winning $22,813.

Joe Brandenberg was the next player to go when pushing All In on the short stack holding :8s :7d and was called by Fred Goldberg in the big blind with :4d :3d The board came down :5h :5d :4c :10c :ac giving Goldberg two pairs Fives and Fours, which was good enough to win the pot knocking Brandenberg out in 6th place winning $30,418.

Then only a few hands later we saw Kevin Marcotte leave the event, loosing a big three way pot with two players All In pre Flop. Scott Bohlman started off the betting throwing in a $50,000 raise which was followed by Marcotte moving All In for $115,000. Rene Mouritsen then moved all of his remaining chip stack of $355,000 into the middle, and Bohlman calls showing pocket Queens. Mouritsen showed :ad :ks and Marcotte wasn’t in a very good position showing :ah :qc The board came down :kd :10s :9c :7d :6c giving Mouritsen the pot hitting a pair of Kings. Bohlman was crippled down to his last $60,000 whilst Kevin Marcotte headed to the rail to collect his $39,289 5th place prize.

It only took half a dozen hands before we were down to three players when Scott Bohlman decided to make a stand on his short stack holding :kc :10c Rene Mouritsen on the button called with :as :kh and this was good enough to win the pot with the final board coming down :9h :9s :4s :6h :5d

Christoph Niesert the early chip leader was the next player to go shortly after, in a race with pocket Nines against Fred Goldberg with :ah :jh Goldberg hit top pair with the first card coming out with an Ace and Niesert never recovered with the final board coming down :as :4c :4h :7d :7s Niesert won $82,804 for his 3rd place finish.

Fred Goldberg started off heads up play with a good chip lead over Mouritsen and took just over 40 hands to win the event. The final hand came when Mouritsen moved All In after the Flop came down :jh :8h :4h holding :5h :2h He was quickly called by Goldberg holding a higher flush with :10h :7h leaving Mouritsen needing a runner - runner straight flush draw to survive. The :5d on the Turn dashed these slim hopes handing Goldbrg the $205,935 and the WSOP bracelet for 1st place.
