The Poker Stars Millions event this week was boosted with an extra $250,000 due to it being the 10 Billionth hand special event. This added bonus attracted over 10,900 players all buying in for $200 dollars fighting for a total prize pool of $2,400,000 paying up to 2600 places.

When we eventually got to the final table RF11527 held a significant chip lead with over $21 million in chips. A large amount compared to over half of the field, and it was RF11527 who knocked Schulle1 out in 9th place a few hands in. Schulle short stacked at this point pushed all in and was called by RF. Schulle had :kh :7d against RF’s :ac :9c the flop didn’t hit either player coming down :8h :2h :4c but the turn and river gave RF the flush coming down with two running clubs :jc :10c and Schulle went out taking $12,144.

The next player to go was Oldschool43 holding :as :9s Oldschool called an all in from Uncpeej who found himself in a dominating position with :ah :jc The flop :ks :8h :5h didn’t help either player and with the turn coming down :qc Rush needed one of the 9’s in the deck to stay in the tournament. The river :ad ended his tournament taking home $17,244 in 8th.

Rushcezar met his end not long after going out in 7th winning $24,530. Finding him self dominated all in pre flop holding :qh :jh he was up against 011180 holding :ah :qc Neither player hit the board :kd :2h :7s :4c :9c and 011180 took the pot with A high.

The table slowed down dramatically and we had to wait a while before the next knock out hand came about. Tanbai who had built up to the a good position moved all in on the button. Uncpeej called in the big blind. Uncpeej turned over :as :8h against :ac :kd the flop and turn were kind to Uncpeej coming down :5h :jc :js :5s Just as it looked like the two players were to split the pot the only card that could have knocked him out came down on the river :kh Giving him 6th place and $34,974.

RF11527 went out in 5th against 011180 giving him the chip lead overall. RF raising all in on the button was called by 011180 in the big blind. RF with pocket 5’s was up against :ks :7s The flop gave 011180 the advantage coming down :4d :6c :ks giving him top pair and with the turn showing :4c left RF needing one of the two 5 left in the deck to survive, but it never came giving 01180 an even better hand with the :7h and RF collected the $45,661 5th prize.

Jeffbeesdat quiet until this point pushed all in short stacked with :7d :6c Unfortunately for him he ran into PiMaster holding :jc :js The miracle never came for Jeff with the board coming down :as :kh :9h :5h :qd giving him 4th prize and $59,991.

This win didn’t help PiMaster when we were down to three not long after. Loosing the majority of his chips holding :8d :8c normally a good hand when you’re down to three. But not as good as what he ran into, Tanbai holding :kc :kd The pocket kings easily held up and the very next hand spelt the end for PiMaster. Pushing all in with :ad :js came up against Tanbai holding :ks :2c Tanbai hit two pair on the flop showing :kd :ac :2s but PiMaster still had quite a few outs with the A also showing on the flop. But when youre lucks not in they never come and this seemed to be the case for PiMaster with the turn and river :9h :6s missing him giving him $85,736 in 3rd .

Down to heads up and both players agreed to a prize split leaving $30,000 left to play for to the winner. Tanbia was behind to start with but stormed back in style snatching the win from 011180. Eventually the knockout hand saw Tanbai trapping 011180 holding two pair after the turn and the all in move on the river killed off 011180 with tanbai calling. o11180 winning $160,875 2nd place leaving Tanbai victorious taking $187,901 for first place.

Final results:

  • > 1st $187,901: Tanbai
  • > 2nd $160,875: 011180
  • 3rd ($85,736.64): PiMaster
  • 4th ($59,991.36): Jeffbeesdat
  • 5th ($45,661.44): RF11527
