Both PokerStars and Full Tilt escaped paying overlays this week. PokerStars was lucky enough to draw in enough of a crowd to make its guarantee, and Full Tilt dropped its guarantee to $500,000 to make up for less player traffic. Even Bodog made some changes this week, and cut its usual tourney in favour of the Bodog Super Bowl Special.
PokerStars Sunday $1.5 Million Guaranteed
PokerStars does not seem to have a problem roping in players unlike many other sites. The poker portal seems to have been enjoying a lucky streak of no overlays for more than month now.
This week’s $1.5 million tourney roped in the likes of Jordan “scarface_79″ Smith, Shane “Anbessa9″ Pacheco, Andrew “foucalt82″ Brokos, Matt “GrinderMJ” Juttelstad and James “jcamby33″ Campbell.
However, it was hutzlerCrew who won the game after making a three way deal with MCLegend and Ari “BodogAri” Engel at the final table.
The final results:
- **hutzlerCrew — $150,000
- **MCLegend — $127,518
- **Ari “BodogAri” Engel — $116,613
- FRfr1111 — $69,119
- youjizz — $54,093
- Kripp85 — $39,067
- niuniu09 — $26,295
- kiaser — $17,279
- freakypokerd — $10,518
** There was a three way split made at the table between the last three players, hutzlerCrew, MCLegend and Ari “BodogAri” Engel. It left $30,000 for the eventual winner as per PokerStars rules.
Full Tilt $500,000 Guaranteed
Full Tilt played a very smart game this week when it lowered its guarantee from $750,000 to $500,000 in anticipation of a low attendance of players. This move pulled Full Tilt out of the overlay pit as the 2,805 participants were able to create a $561,000 prize pool.
This week’s tourney was won by Chris “herdgolf86″ Tipper who defeated Antonio18 in the heads up showdown and took home the first place prize of $102,663.
The final results:
- Chris “herdgolf86″ Tipper — $102,663
- Antonio18 — $62,832
- xx BabyGrand xx — $40,953
- PrishChips31 — $32,538
- fooker323 — $24,684
- Yeshaya aka China_White1 — $17,784

Bodog Super Bowl Special
The weekly $100,000-guaranteed tournament at Bodog was dropped this week in favour of the Bodog Super Bowl Special. This was a good event for Bodog and the site hosted a $100 buy-in which managed to rope in a total of 399 players. Bodog also contributed an additional $20,000 into the pot to make things a bit livelier. This increased the poker prize pool at the Bodog Super Bowl Special to $59,900.
Eventually, it was the lucky Justin “Justin58″ Grandin who took first place winning $14,975 in prize money.
The final results:
- Justin “Justin58″ Grandin — $14,975
- subiime — $9,584

- Dante Villano — $1,317
- Harry PePe — $1,018
