Bodog was favored by Fortune this week with an increase in player traffic. Unfortunately the increase of 50 players was insufficient to pull the site out of the overlay pit.
Full tilt also saw an increase in player traffic although it was not much of a hike. PokerStars had an amazing week this time and not only escaped overlays but went beyond its guaranteed prize by over $60,000.

PokerStars Sunday $1.5 Million Guaranteed

After almost half a dozen weeks of overlays, the PokerStars Sunday Million broke out of the overlay rut and scored big money in their poker pot. The $1.5 million guarantee tourney pulled in a lot of players and more than made up the guaranteed pool by taking in $1,567,200.

This week also saw a four way split between the finalists at the table who divided the pot and left $30,000 for the winner who was METZMAGNY. Idgii, came in second with $104,842, although the fourth place winner, Dan “jiacstrap” Jiacopello, earned more than both eth second place and third place winners when he took in $122,068.

The final results:

  • **METZMAGNY — $147,822*
  • **ldgii — $104,842
  • **h2oace — $105,772
  • **Dan “jiacstrap” Jiacopello — $122,068
  • Keven “Stammdogg” Stammen — $55,636
  • Derek “dray313” Raymond — $39,964
  • Papatri — $27,426
  • Daryl “aaaaaaaa” Jace — $18,023
  • tickkid — $10,970

** This reflects a four way deal cut between the last four players at the final table. As per the PokerStars rules, $30,000 was left behind for the first place winner to take home.

Full Tilt $750,000 Guaranteed

Player traffic saw an increase here at the Full Tilt $750,000 guaranteed event bringing down the overlay requirement by a few thousand dollars. Last week the site paid out $29,000 but the increased number of participants ensured that the overlay was only $22,600. Not much of a decrease but decidedly a good show of players at the event.

The final showdown occurred between sistabossen, HojoMofo and KenRetaard. HojoMofo soon dropped out taking in $52,500, leaving the other two players to compete for first place. The eventual winner was sistabossen who showed who was boss when she took in a grand total of $133,000 as the first-place winner.

The final results:

  • sistabossen — $132,788
  • KenRetaard — $80,250
  • HojoMofo — $52,500
  • Don “Tokenizer” Eagen — $41,400
  • Wesley “snoringbeagl” Whybrew — $31,050
  • choba5 — $23,025
  • KpKelly — $17,250
  • listerx — $13,500
  • bestdayever — $10,050

Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed

This week saw a great improvement at Bodog Poker, when the site pulled in a total of 750 participants. Bodog had been unable to cross a bar of 700 players at its $100,000 Guaranteed tournaments for a long time, but broke that barrier this week.

Although Bodog still ended up paying an overlay of $25,000 which was higher than its first place prize, a growth in player traffic is always a good sign. Perhaps next week Bodog maybe able to keep the player traffic going and gradually decrease the size of its overlays.

Rathrbboatn was the lucky player who won the first place at the Bodog $100,000 guaranteed tournament. He was followed by runner up and third place winner Cohiba Siglo and Nels316 respectively.

The final results:

  • rathrbboatn — $23,600
  • Cohiba Siglo — $13,600
  • Nels316 — $9,100
  • danceforcash — $7,000
  • Homer_Jay — $5,700
  • skeptix — $4,500
  • Andix81 — $3,300
  • Macbeth_ — $2,200
  • cusee — $1,300
