There was an excellent turnout at the PokerStars Sunday Million this weekend, so there was some good poker action, despite some changes in the usual Sunday tournaments. This weekend, the Full Tilt $750,000 Guarantee tournament was replaced by Event #10 of FTOPS XI, the eleventh Full Tilt Online Poker Series. The Bodog $100,000 Guarantee tournament did not take place at all.
PokerStars Sunday $1.5 Million Guaranteed
The PokerStars Sunday Million was buzzing this weekend, with 8,748 players coming in to the game on a $200 + 15 buy in to make a $1,749,600 prize pool. 1,260 players got a share of this money. The eventual winner, THE_ALPACA, did well from the start, and finally took home prize money of $174,501.47 after a six way chop.
When play started at the final table, THE_ALPACA had the chip lead with 14,761,002. ADZ124 had a chip count of 8,699,484, mozitas had 1,766,392 chips, sln112 had 13,073,692 in chips, hartwith had a chip count of 4,412,884, crminalface had 12,847,901 in chips, gimmedat717 had 5,494,416 chips, cannibal23 had 22,212,339 chips and $uBzEr0-AK had 4,211,890.
Mozitas left the game early in ninth spot with $12,247.20, and for a long time thereafter, no one else got eliminated. After cannibal23 was eliminated in eighth place with $20,120.40, and sln112 went out seventh with $30,618, the remaining players decided to go in for a six way chop, with an extra $30,000 would be set aside for the final winner.
Hartwith gave THE_ALPACA a good fight, but was eventually ousted, making the former the big winner in the PokerStars Sunday Million.

FTOPS Event No. 10 - $1.5 Million Guaranteed
The FTOPS XI Event #10, a No Limit Holdem tournament, was held instead of the usual Full Tilt $750,000 guaranteed tourney and a sizeable number of participants – 5325 - entered the game on the buy in. This tournament was hosted by John Phan.
The final table chip counts had Jeremy “Jerms13″ Lordge in the lead with 5,778,983 chips, followed by Steve “gboro780″ Gross with 3,950,608 chips, BUSTYOU79 with 3,937,303 chips, Pat “TorontoToro” Pezzin with 2,894,328 chips, ilovemypuppy with 2,550,376 chips, nevermo with 2,281,757 chips, Shoomie with 1,970,903 chips, J4d3dr4g0n with 1,858,984 chips and Drow with 1,401,758 chips.
When the game came down to heads up play between Steve “gboro780″ Gross and BUSTYOU79, the former had 17,421,922 chips, while the latter had 9,203,078 chips. Steve finally took down the FTOPS XI Event #10 with a win of $275,600.70.
