All three sites paid out overlays and had regular streams of tournament player traffic. PokerStars increased its buy-in with a further charge and more than covered its overlay in a very smart move. The winners of the poker tourneys at PokerStars, Bodog and Full Tilt went home happy and with heavy pockets.
PokerStars Sunday $1.5 Million Guaranteed
PokerStars took in 7,307 participants in this week’s poker tourney, but still did not manage to make the guarantee even at $200 buy-in prices. Ever since PokerStars has upped its guarantee from the $1 million prize to the $1.5 it appears to be having trouble getting on its feet and meeting the guarantee.
This week the site dished out $38,600 to make the guarantee but yet managed to take in almost $110,000 since it had added a $15 charge along with the entry fee. This move does not put PokerStars in a tight spot or at a loss but keeps the site still in the winners circle.
The final three at the table were trangers15, govshark2 and princio. They did not cut a deal but played all out until finally trangers15 dropped out. The big prize was a total of $184,500 and was won by govshark2.
The final results:
- govshark2 — $184,500
- princio — $124,950
- trangers15 — $84,000
- Br0ke24/7 — $69,000
- DeuceBuster — $54,000
- BOKINHA — $39,000
- Y2JKID — $26,250
- MyGambit — $17,250
- Jazz604 — $10,500
Full Tilt $750,000 Guaranteed
The Full Tilt $750,000 guaranteed tournament took in a total of only 3,450 players. This increased the overlay as the number of players was insufficient to meet the guarantee. Full Tilt paid out an overlay that was almost twice the size of last week’s and ended up paying $60,000 to match its $750,000 guarantee!
Even the third place winner took home less than Full tilt paid out as an overlay. The last three players were Matt “NoBadBeatsPlz” Kay, DahJinerat, and Wasaki coke. Eventually it was DahJinerat who won the first place and the final prize of $133,000.
The final results:
- DahJinerat — $132,788
- Wasaki coke — $80,250
- Matt “NoBadBeatsPlz” Kay — $52,500
- mordi20 — $41,400
- maxflicks — $31,050
- sccowboy — $23,025
- rokhead — $17,250
- Sir_winalot9 — $13,500
- SomethingDank — $10,050
Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed
This week saw things go back to normal at Bodog poker, when the $100,000 guaranteed event was started again. This week saw 621 players and the usual overlay from Bodog. The site gave out $37,900 to make its $100,000 guarantee – about one –third of the overall guarantee and even more than the prize money that the first place winner and the runner up would win collectively.
This of course was great news for the players and the two lucky winners were nutzkrackr and links1136 who took in $23,600 and $13,600 respectively at the final table.
The final results:
- nutzkrackr — $23,600
- links1136 — $13,600
- ponyneck — $9,100
- TheGlazeman — $7,000
- poker1945 — $5,700
- Rugster — $4,500
- LuckyLukeKK — $3,300
- WitchfinderG — $2,200
- DannyAIC — $1,300
