Weekend

This weekend did not find fortune smiling down upon either of the poker sites as both Full Tilt and Bodog ended up paying large overlays. Another factor in common that both sites had was a drop in player traffic from the previous week. Full tilt had secured 3838 players last week but dropped by almost 200 players to only 3,643 entrants. Full Tilt had to fall back into the rut of paying overlays and dished out a generous $21,400 to make the $750,000 guarantee. Bodog took in 603 entrants and paid an overlay that was almost 40percent of the total prize pool.

Hopefully next week will see Full Tilt paying no overlays and as for Bodog, at least a smaller overlay.

Full Tilt $750,000 Guaranteed

Full Tilt had a successful week without overlays last week but this Sunday saw a change of luck. This weekend, the Full Tilt $750,000 Guaranteed saw a drop in player traffic and as a result was unable to meet the $750,000 guarantee. The site only drew in a total of 3,643 entrants in comparison to the previous week when it had 3838 participants. Full Tilt built a prize pool of $728,600 this weekend which unfortunately fell short of the guarantee. As a result the site had to supply the difference and paid an amount of $21,400 as an overlay to match the guarantee. This meant that the first place winner would take in as much as $133,000.

The final showdown saw nounet, acatlover and absolute6 in the final three. The latter soon dropped out taking in a total of $52,500. Eventually, although nounet played hard he went home as the runner up with over $80,000 in his pocket and acatlover took home the  first place prize money winning a $132,788 payout.

The final results:

  • acatlover — $132,788
  • nounet — $80,250
  • absolute6 — $52,500
  • RonJovi7 — $41,400
  • bighorn1973 — $31,050
  • gingabreadman — $23,025
  • Nicolak — $17,250
  • mirasol — $13,500
  • gcnmoo — $10,050

Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed

Bodog Poker had a rather low turn out at its $100,000-guaranteed event and only managed to pull in a total of 603 entrants in comparison to its 627 that it scored last week. Bodog does not seem to be able to escape paying the weekly overlay just yet and had to chalk out a tidy sum of $39,700, which was almost 40 percent of the prize pool. The overlay ended up making the participants very lucky as they were playing a $166 game at only $100 buy-ins.

The heads up match was between woodhawk and tkids who were vying with each other for the top prize. Woodhawk eventually grabbed the win and took home 10 grand more than tkids who raked in a total of $13,600.

The final results:

  • woodhawk — $23,600
  • tkids — $13,600
  • Minesony — $9,100
  • Beer and Poker — $7,000
  • JanM — $5,700
  • the_sickness — $4,500
  • UFPokerStar — $3,300
  • JACKOFHOGS — $2,200
  • RooterGuy13 — $1,300
