Bodog Poker saw a good increase in attendance this week when it brought in almost 50 extra players in comparison to last week. Full Tilt continued with the FTOPS and hosted an amazing tourney this weekend. PokerStars put a good tourney and took in more than its guarantee.

PokerStars Sunday $1.5Million

PokerStars seems to have no trouble anymore either with number or overlays. Player traffic was up to 7,999 participants at a $200+$15 buy-in each. The prize pool was $1,599,800 and left $195,976 as the first place prize, which was more than the guarantee at Bodog!

Some of the notable players in the game were Barry Greenstein, Jim “Mr_BigQueso” Collopy, Maria Eduarda “Maridu” Mayrinck, Steve Paul-Ambrose and Daniel Negreanu.

Full Tilt Online Poker Series X: Main Event

The Full Tilt Online Poker Series X Main Event dealt in some big numbers both in terms of players and prizes. The buy in for the poker tourney for the main event amounted to $500. In addition to this was the $35 fee which made the total buy in $535. The event pulled in a phenomenal 5,225 participants which raised the prize pool to $2,612,500, almost one-sixth of that reserved for the champion.

The main event of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series X was hosted Scott Montgomery, a member of by November Nine.

Some of the big names to participate in the event were Peter “Nordberg” Feldman, Fabrice Soulier, Chris “hattrick8810″ Odle, Eddy Scharf, Josh Arieh, Joe “hoodini10″ Udine, Leandro Brasa, Dag “dmmikkel” Martin Mikkelsen, Michael “5iveofaKind” Hong, Jon “PearlJammed” Turner, John “SkewpTroop” Clancy, Sandra Naujoks, Huck Seed, James “Mig_com” Mackey Steve Zolotow and Michael Craig.

Eventually it was Va Shon “Julian Verse” Watkins who came in first with a big prize of $450,709. He was followed by sckilla and Hummelhintern respectively.

Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed

Bodog’s weekend tournament made tyrel66 a very lucky man when it gave him $23,600 as the first place tournament prize. This week the online poker site managed to secure a good number of players in comparison to last week when it took in 720. This week, the 765 players who participated in the tourney at a $100+$9 buy-in each could not meet the guarantee of $100,000. This meant yet another overlay and Bodog had to contribute $23,500 more to meet the guarantee.
