Weekend

Poker Stars raised its guarantee to $1.5 million and pulled in enough players to hit that amount and more, which resulted in no overlay for the site. Full Tilt had a great weekend and paid no overlays as it pulled in a large crowd to its gaming tables. Unfortunately, Bodog paid out its usual overlay to make up its guarantee and again the overlay was more than the first place prize. Hopefully next week will see a better turn out for Bodog.
Poker Stars Sunday Million
Poker Stars put up a new $1.5 million guarantee for its Sunday Million tourney. As a result of the bigger prize, the site drew in 8,431 players which were more than enough to make up the huge guarantee. The prize poll accumulated rose to $1,686,200, leaving more than $204,000 for the first place winner.
The final results:
- Fred_Brink — $204,199
- betofetus — $137,425
- RProps — $93,584

Full Tilt $750,000 Guaranteed
Full Tilt had a great weekend as well and overshot their guarantee when they drew in 3,843 players to participate. The total prize pool amounted to $768,600 which was $15,100 more than the guarantee. Full Tilt paid no overlays and enjoyed a full table allowing for the first place winner to take home $136,000 in prize money.
The final showdown saw HosniMubarak and CountTilt going at it for the title, and of course - the money. The difference between first place and second was $50,000 and a six figure pay check for the winner. It was a lucky day for HosniMubarak when he played the better hand and won the whole show and taking home $136,081.
The final results:

Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed
Bodog had yet another weekend of overlays and much like last week the overlay amounted to more than the first place prize money. This week Bodog emptied its pockets of $28,000 in order to make up for its $100,000 guarantee tourney. The player traffic was a total of 720 participants, many of whom were very well known and had made names for their wins in the poker industry. Ironically however, the winners of this weekend’s tourney turned out to be newcomers to the Online Player of the Year scores. The final showdown for the poker pot had SirStevie89 and docbox3 vying with each other. Shawn “phatcat” Luman came in third taking in a small sum of $9,100. Eventually it was docbox3 who took in the big money when he won first place and took home a total of $23,600 in prize money as well as the winning title.
The final results:
- docbox3 — $23,600
- SirStevie89 — $13,600
- Shawn “phatcat” Luman — $9,100
- iLLNuGWichee — $7,000
- Nicholas “IAmKeyserSoze” Blumenthal (aka CatTinBisKuit) — $5,700
- drexxel7 — $4,500
