sunday poker tournaments

This Sunday was certainly a good day for both poker sites as well as poker players, many of which managed to make some big money in the big Sunday online poker tournaments hosted by many of the popular online poker sites.

There was no chop this time at the PokerStars Sunday Million. This was a bit surprising considering that the previous two weeks have seen a two way chop. This time the players wanted the real money without sharing the prize. The Bodog tournament on Sunday also turned out to be a good way to walk away with some of the great prize money on offer this weekend. All in all, it was a great weekend for poker tournament players and especially the winners!

PokerStars Sunday Million

The PokerStars Sunday Million attracted 7,254 players, slightly short of the 7,680 entrants last week. Yet, the prize money at stake was still more than $1.45 million. Without a chop, the top prize came to a massive $204,562. Graslevy from the UK won the big prize and as mentioned without a chop.

The final results:

  1. 1. Graslevy - $204,562.80
  2. 2. JTD DOG - $103,006.80
  3. 3. Mescalin8 - $72,540.00
  4. 4. grabskia - $58,032.00
  5. 5. Caetana - $43,524.00
  6. 6. Purrel - $31,917.60
  7. 7. HittinChills - $22,487.40
  8. 8. rainmakerAD - $13,057.20
  9. 9. choppermen2 - $8,559.72

Full Tilt $750,000

The turnout for the big Full Tilt Sunday tournament this week was encouraging. The number of entrants was 3,707 up from 3,551 last week. And considering the fact that last week’s turnout was less than the 3,750 required to meet the guarantee and which necessitated an overlay of nearly $40,000 put up by Full Tilt.

This week’s tournament saw a small overlay as well as they were 43 entrants short (at a $200 buy-in) for the guarantee. So Full Tilt funded the remaining $8,600 and 522 players were paid in the end.

The final saw a heads-up between xPEOPLES CHAMPx and Rdgfish with both of them making their online player of the year points in cash. Finally, it was xPEOPLES CHAMPx who claimed the $132,788 first place prize.

The final results:

  1. 1. xPEOPLES CHAMPx - $132,788
  2. 2. Rdgfish - $80,250
  3. 3. futbolin - $52,500
  4. 4. timmy720 - $41,400
  5. 5. RustySea - $31,050
  6. 6. NutmilkmouZ - $23,025
  7. 7. breeth - $17,250
  8. 8. Magma1000 - $13,500
  9. 9. JETNUT - $10,050

Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed

The Bodog $100,000 guaranteed version this week saw a reduced turnout of 711 entrants forcing Bodog to overlay a massive $28,900 so that the guarantee could be met. The top 63 players were paid and the eventual winner, rufrider, collected the prize money of $25,000 taking in the pot.

The final results:

  1. 1. rufrider - $25,000
  2. 2. 69BossMustang - $14,300
  3. 3. Jack Splat - $9,200
  4. 4. jazzyfresh45 - $6,900
  5. 5. zdepew2000 - $5,500
  6. 6. digdaft - $4,500
  7. 7. pkb6786 - $3,500
  8. 8. BertieWooster - $2,500
  9. 9. Jadenali - $1,600

It was a good Sunday for the eventual winners of each tournament who took home a combined $362,000 between them. Not bad for a few hours work!

Take your seat at one of the regular big weekend tournaments by signing up at Pokerstars , Full Tilt Poker or Bodog and you could be the one winning big money next week. Regular satellites run to these tournaments, so you can also win your seat for as little as a few dollars.
