It was a Canadian assault on the Pokerstars Sunday Million this weekend. The winner of both the Pokerstars Sunday Million and the Full Tilt Poker Sunday tournament took home about $200k all for less than a day’s work and it was Nous44 who walked away with the biggest prize of the weekend of $202,363 in this Sunday’s edition of the PokerStars Weekend Tournament.

The big Bodog Sunday tournament also saw good action this weekend. All in all it was a Sunday well spent for the players and the eventual winners.

PokerStars’ Sunday Million

This Sunday’s edition of the PokerStars saw the $200 buy-in event attracting 7,176 entrants with a prize pool of just over $1.4 million. As compared to the previous week’s 7,254 entrants, the number of entrants this time around was marginally lesser.

The event was won by the Canadian Nous44 who won the largest cash of his career by netting the top prize of $202,363. There was no chop this time around for the eventual prize and it was a fight to the finish for the eventual winners.

This week’s edition of the big Sunday Full Tilt Poker tournament saw an increased $1 Million guarantee and it did not require an overlay from the poker room as an additional 2,000 players helped grow the number of entrants from last week’s number.

This pushed the prize pool to $1,003,000 taking it past the one million mark. Finally, MayhoodXXX took the final prize and the event winning $184,552 for his efforts.

This week’s Bodog tournament didn’t break any traditions and once again we saw another massive overlay provided by Bodog of $24,400 into the prize pool. This came close to the first prize money of $25,000 that went to the eventual winner. The number of entrants was only 756 which necessitated the overlay since 1000 players are required to fund the guarantee.

It was a coincidence that Thrash123 who finished in the same place exactly in this same tournament last July. He also earned the same amount of money as well.
